Aaryan Harshith

In Aaryan's 2024 Summer SERI project, he discovered three new species of bacteriophages (bacterial viruses) and studied their ability to suppress drug-resistant bacterial infections.  Looking back, he says he had the most fun analyzing the genomes of our phages and getting to name them (Cardinal, Vanta, and Luminis, if you're curious!). When he's not in class, you can find him learning foreign languages (currently Japanese) or practicing karate.
